VIDA - MKll LCR Type Phono Equalizer Amplifier
PRODUCT SUMMARY
Ten years have passed since we released the VIDA phono equalizer amplifier. Thanks to you, it has been recognized worldwide for its sound quality, performance, design, and as a unique product that is the first in the world to use an LCR type solid-state amplifier. Based on the opinions, feedback, and market performance of customers in each country (Japan, USA, UK, France, Italy, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Sweden, Poland, Germany, Australia, etc.), we have developed it into the successor model, VIDA-MkⅡ.
There are no major changes to the exterior design, because we have determined that this design is complete and there is no room for improvement. However, we have made various refinements to the interior and functions. List price 458,260 yen including consumption tax (main unit + power supply unit)
FEATURES
- Uses the same LCR type RIAA equalizer circuit as the previous model. L = inductor, C = capacitor, R = resistor.
- Four custom RIAA inductors made by Aurora Sound from Sweden's Lundahl, which have been carefully selected to provide the basic performance of the inductor (L) and have an even lower equivalent DC resistance and improved Q value (low frequency + high frequency/stereo)
- The rear amplifier section uses the same discrete Aurora amplifier module as the higher-end VIDA-Supreme model.
- Optimized signal path, eliminated internal wiring harness, functionally arranged amplifier and control sections, newly developed printed circuit board resistant to external noise
The above improvements result in fuller midrange, tighter and clearer lows, and more mellow highs. L/R channel separation has been improved by 6dB (2x) to achieve even greater three-dimensional reproduction.
Total harmonic distortion + noise performance has been improved by approximately 2 times from 0.025% to 0.012%, and long-term stability has been improved to withstand temperature changes and aging.
FUNCTION
- Change phono input from MC/MM selection to Phono-1.Phono-2.
- Changed gain and input load to MC/MM selection method.
- This allows for flexible support, such as 2 MC systems, 2 MM systems, and MC/MM.
- The well-established MUTE SW has been changed to an Omron product to further improve operability.
- RCA jacks are made of solid brass and rhodium plated (same as VIDA).
- Inherits all the options supported by VIDA.
